PCDHFC features an easily accessible archery course on the mountainside admired by beginners and experts that is open year round.
Members have access to the trails during regular club hours.
Non-members can only use the course if they are escorted, as a guest, by a club member. Guests are required to purchase a Day card.
There are also flat field areas for outdoor practice during summer months. Practice indoors is available in the clubhouse year round (see Thursday Night Drop in and JOP below).
Crossbows are allowed but must be rated less than 350 feet per second to prevent damage to the target butts.
Broadhead tipped arrows are strictly forbidden on all targets except for the Broadhead Sandpit.
3D Archery Fun Shoots are held multiple times through the year and are open to the public.
Archers of all levels and experience are welcome to participate. Please check the club calendar for dates. More information on the 3D shoots and trails can also be found at the Burke Mountain Facebook Page.
Conventional Archery at PCDHFC has an active Junior Olympian Program (JOP) for children ages 10-20. This program is extremely successful, and the club regularly sends young athletes to compete both provincially and nationally.
JOP Classes run from September to June, Monday and Wednesday nights, beginners class 6:00pm to 7:00pm and intermediate class 7:30pm to 8:30pm, we are currently at full capacity and taking names for the waiting list. The annual fee for JOP for 2022-2023 is $120.00 and membership in BC Archery is mandatory.
Contact burke.archery@gmail.com for more information or to have your child added to the waiting list. There is no guarantee there will be any spots available this indoor archery season. Thanks.
Archery Drop In Nights
The Burke Mountain Archery Club meets Thursday nights from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm in the main clubhouse.
*** Note: We have equipment rentals and welcome new shooters on Thursday nights, but all archers should be able to demonstrate a basic knowledge of safety and shooting ability. This is not an “intro to archery night.”
Contact Brent Watts: brentwatts@gmail.com for more information.
At various times throughout the year, PCDHFC hosts 3D fun shoots that are open to members and non-members alike. During these weekends, the regular use of the trails course will be closed. For more information on the 3D shoots, take a look at the calendar and the Burke Mountain Archery Facebook Page.
