Como Lake Derby Pictures Posted
The 41st Annual Como Lake Derby was held in May, and the pictures are now posted on the Fishing page. There are some great letters from three local fishers as well!

Western International Pistol League
WIPL is run with relaxed International Sport Shooting Federation (ISSF) rules. Matches are Sundays at 9 AM once per month from September to April. See this brochure for more information. This is the schedule.
Come and test your shooting skills with LRGC, North Vans PSA, and Abbottsford gun clubs! It's informal fun and you get to meet the members from other clubs in this area.

PCDHFC Launches Advertising Program
PCDHFC is now offering advertising space on the PCDHFC web site. Each ad features a logo and a link to advertiser's own web site for the product or service offered.
This opportunity is suitable to hunting, fishing, and competitive shooting audiences, but any community-oriented businesses such as real estate or home repair are welcome to apply.

Changes to Range Hours
PCDHFC is making some adjustments to range opening rules starting Jan 2, 2008. The EC has adopted these policies to give our members a special privilege and also to give our staff a chance to open up and close up properly.
OPENING:
Members will have exclusive access to Range 7 for the first hour of each day that PCDHFC is open. Day Card users can then sign in starting in the second hour. Of course, if the members are not taking advantage of this then the CRO on duty can decide to allow Day Card users access earlier.
CLOSING:
The last target change will be one hour before closing time. The final shot on the range will be 1/2 hour before the posted closing time so that our staff can close up and leave the range at the indicated closing time, which is the end of their shift.

The RED LINE is on the Range!
PCDHFC Members using Range 7 will notice a RED LINE painted across the entire range at the leading edge of the concrete pad.
The RED LINE reminds all shooters that firearms are to be shot with muzzles on or near the RED LINE, but not behind the RED LINE. Bench rest shooters using rifles will likely not be affected. Pistol shooters will have to move forward slightly so their gun muzzles are on line with long gun users.
Our range is widely used by the General Public and we want to make sure EVERYONE on the range is as safe as possible. A 'common firing point' is standard practice with many ranges across Canada and its another visual aid for making sure muzzles are properly deployed.
The Range staff will be reminding shooters to 'Move up to the RED LINE'. Our PCDHFC Members will be much safer and, with your help, we'll educate the General Public about safe shooting practices.
