Mandatory New Members Course

PCDHFC wants all members to have a great time shooting safely. If you are a new member, you must take the New Member Course.
Important Note: We keep these courses within reasonable time limits, so it's vital that you attend PROMPTLY at the start of the session. Latecomers will be accommodated at the next course. |

New Member Course (NMC)
The New Member Course is required for all 2008 PCDHFC new members, as well as all 2007 new members who have NOT YET COMPLETED the NMC Course. Any member of the club who is renewing membership after an absence of 2 years or more also MUST take the NMC. Remember - it's YOUR responsibility to register and attend a New Members Course. The New Member Course covers many topics, including: At the end of the course there is a 37 question True/False examination. You need to achieve 33/37 to be successful. REMEMBER, bring a pen to complete the paperwork. PLEASE NOTE: You must attend the range five times AFTER completing the New Member Course before you can register for the Range User Certification Course. |

Registration & Costs
New Member Courses are generally held Tuesday evenings or Saturday mornings. Note that in September there is a Sunday course option. Cost for the New Member Course is $10, payable with your 2008 membership application. To register for any weekday or weekend course, please contact the Range Office at 604.942.9772. You can also get the New Member Course material from Margie at the Range Office during regular operating hours (Thursday to Monday, 8:30am until 4:30pm (winter hours). If you attend a WEEK NIGHT COURSE you MUST pick up your course material in advance. WEEK NIGHT COURSE applicants may also register by phoning Murray Gardner at 604.889.3822. If you attend a WEEKEND COURSE, you may pick up the course material on the day of the course. WEEKEND COURSE applicants may also register by email to Doug Kress at douglas_kress@telus.net. |

NMC Schedule
The instructors have scheduled these dates, but courses will only be held if a minimum of five students pre-register. Courses are confirmed two days prior to the course taking place.
