Something for Shotgunners
PCDHFC has facilities for singles, doubles, wobble, and wobble doubles Trap, and a Skeet field. The fields are separated enough that the two Trap and single Skeet field can be used at the same time.
We have two new Trap machines that can both throw wobble Trap, and one machine can throw doubles. One singles Trap field has 16 to 27 yard stations, and the doubles field has 16 to 21 yard stations. The Trap fields are located west of the parking lot and directly in front of a small clubhouse which offers plumbing and a kitchen as well as a new sheltered porch. There is an inside sitting room with a picture window to view the events with greater comfort from noise. We can use up to ten Caravan canopies to keep everyone dry on the Trap ranges while they shoot, so don’t let wet weather keep you away. The Skeet field is immediately west of the parking lot.
Trap and Skeet at PCDHFC is a relaxed affair, with the focus on having fun and getting in lots of shooting time. Everyone is welcome to join in, and no experience is required. Many of our core shooters are happy to share their knowledge with novice shooters.
There is a $5.00 Day Card fee for a non-member that is only valid for the Trap and Skeet fields. A game costs $12.00 with shells or $5.00 if you have your own shells.
Trap and Skeet shoots are usually every second and fourth Sunday in a month. We start at 12 noon during Daylight Saving Time or 11:00am during Pacific Standard Time. Please check the calendar of events posted on this website for greater accuracy.
